what distinguishes a “green business”?
While there are many different factors, they all share one common goal: Sustainability.
What results, is a true commitment to social and ecological consciousness. This is not always easy in business, but it is essential.
One example, Peaceful Mountain has elected to reduce packaging waste by eliminating the use of paper boxes. Although this forces us to work with a smaller display area and less shelf space, which could inevitably result in a decrease of sales, we feel that it is most important to uphold our basic philosophy of conservation and integrity in business, even if that means less profit.
Our principles
- No Animal Testing
- Recycle
- Buy Recycled
- Buy Locally
- Company Environmental Programs
- Less Paper
- More Digital
- Reduce Waste
- Healthy Workplaces
- Conserve Energy
These principles we stand behind as Green Businesses are beginning to take root in our world today. Values of sustainability, conservation, localization, community, compassion and integrity are becoming the standards of every good operation…finally.
