Dear Supporter of Homeopathy,
As you may know, the FDA’s Draft Guidance regarding homeopathy, released in December of 2017, was met with resistance by many individuals and organizations. The resounding message to the FDA has been that consumers want more access to homeopathics not less. Consumers have united in a movement and have reached out to the FDA asking that they rescind the 2017 Draft Guidance and work toward creating legislation that protects homeopathy and to make it part of the U.S. healthcare system.
Americans for Homeopathy Choice (AFHC) is leading this effort and has coordinated a large number of consumers and organizations which is strengthening the voice of the U.S. homeopathy community. This has led to the creation of The Homeopathy Consumer Council, LLC (HCC), an extension of the AFHC, formed to unite consumers, manufacturers and practitioners. The purpose of the HCC is to assemble diverse groups in an organized networking effort to work together to solve the problems facing the practice and delivery of homeopathy in America. The HCC will stay in direct communication with AFHC thus creating a venue where both consumers and manufacturers/practitioners can work together to solve issues facing homeopathy.
AFHC is gaining support on capitol hill due, in large part, to support from their members. Their event in DC on April 8-10, https://homeopathychoice.org/ , educates consumers on how to communicate with their congressional representatives about their concerns regarding the FDA’s actions on homeopathy. Many appointments have already been set in DC by consumers to meet with their representatives to add their voices to the growing number of supporters for homeopathy.
Please take a few minutes to click on the link above and read about the effort being undertaken to support homeopathy and what you can do to add your support to the movement. Consider taking time to make a phone call or write to a congressional aide or representative to voice your support for homeopathy in the US. Together, we can ensure our voices will be heard!
